By using compressed air driven ejector pumps vs. traditional electromechanical vacuum and blow pumps, the system generates no heat at the point of use. The heat generating source has been removed from the print shop into a compressor room. This solution easily allows the use of heat recovery systems. Heat exchangers can convert the compressor generated heat into hot water. When using such technology, up to 75% of the energy can be recovered. This makes the PVBS 3 the most energy-efficient air supply system for printing machines.

The blow air temperature has almost ambient condition and is not heating up the printing machine. Blow air will be consistent from the first printed sheet in the morning to the last pile of paper in the night.
