Outflow nozzles made of refractory metals are used in the production of glass and ceramic wool at the tank exit in melting equipment with a protective gas atmosphere.

A decisive factor for achieving optimal fibre quality in the wool is an absolutely constant and centred molten stream, which is guaranteed by the use of special nozzle insert materials such as iridium or rhenium. Our special technique for connecting the nozzle and the insert enables us to achieve maximum service lifetimes.
