Low latency switching between two simultaneously active host ports and the target port.
Enables mixed SATA/SAS architectures by supporting direct connectivity to SATA, SATA II and SAS HDDs.
Supports NCQ command streams and non-queued (ATA, ATAPI-7) command streams simultaneously and transparently from both hosts.
4th port for SAS serial retiming ensures sufficient transmit drive strength across backplanes independent of HDD manufacturer.
6 General Purpose I/O (GPIO) pins available for uses including activity LEDs and HDD control.
Diagnostics for fault isolation
Integrated crystal oscillator.
Also operates as a SAS retimer for non-STP traffic.
Multiple default configurations supported by pin strapping.
Single 1.8 V power supply.
