EMBS

An External Maintenance Bypass System (EMBS) allows routine preventative maintenance, repair or investigative work or even total disconnection of the UPS to be carried out safely without discontinuing power to the critical load. The maintenance bypass switch enables technicians to carry out repair work on the UPS during normal working hours without interruption to your equipment. An EMBS will enable an engineer to switch from UPS power to Utility power without interruption in service, allowing for a truly integrated uninterrupted power supply with no down-time due to maintenance work.

All of our bypass systems provide highly regulated and conditioned power to the load while the bypass is engaged. They also act as a backup to the UPS (while AC power is present) in the event of a UPS failure.
