Structured packing bed
helier - hsp - from 1" to 4"
Process Engineering S.r.l.
"helier - Structured Packing Bed"
The helier Structured Packing - hSP - have different diameters (1",1.5",4")
They apply the synergy arising from the contemporary use of two "simple surfaces"
> the cylinder
> the helix, included inside
Thanks to this property and to their specific Diameter/Helix ratio, the hSP have Specific Areas between 80 m2/m3 and 320 m2/m3
Their geometry and the fluid-dynamic properties of the passing phases allow the hSP to get
> no engulfing velocity
> the lowest pressure drops (Delta P , mm H2O/m)
> the lowest specific pressure drops (DP*HOG , mm H2O)
> high mass Transfer Coefficient
> high efficiency for gas phase resistance (SO2)
> high efficiency for liquid phase resistance (CO2, NH3)
> the lowest operating costs (columns)
when compared to other solutions
These properties have been duly documented by the Industrial Research done by the University of Pisa and by the consequent scientific bibliography than edited
The hSP is used to build the structured packing bed, designed and pre-assembled in the workshop according to the process specifications
Each structured bed is properly designed for the application using the helier simulation softwares
All the packing beds with helier hSP are ready to be placed in column
Usable in all the Mass Transfer Operation like
- Absorption
- Desorption
- Stripping
- Humidification
- Washing
the "helier Structured Packing Bed" guarantee
> High Efficiency
> the Lowest Operating Cost
> the Lowest Production Cost per Transfer Unit
and can be successfully applied for
- Liquid/Liquid Operation
- Gas/Liquid Operation
- NOx Absorption
- Stripping
- Washing
- Distillation
- Distillation with Solvent
