A low-cost POS solution for interactive kiosks and multimedia terminals, the PS8831 implements a highly manageable design that includes a swappable 2.5” professional hard disk drive, easy-access memory and CF card slots, and an exchangeable magnetic stripe reader (MSR). The PS8831 can efficiently handle customer information and payment options through the MSR and a smart card reading for IC-equipped debit or credit cards. Operating at less than 35 dB, the energy-efficient POS is suitable for hotels, airports, restaurants, and other noise-sensitive business establishments.
