Description and Application
The D-Sub hood product range of Provertha Cables & Connectors & Solutions Gmbh, Pforzheim, has been extended - a new compact version in hood size 2 has been added to the plastic hoods. This D-Sub hood is predestined for compact use with the widely used D-Sub Power connectors with the mixed layout connector 3W3 thanks to its low built-in length of 42 mm and the 25° cable outlet. Further characteristics are the easy mounting with the half-shell snap-in design at the front with only one mounting bolt at the cable exit, and also pre-assembled undetachable knurled screws for locking to the mating connector on the device interface.The big cable exit allows connecting cables with an outer diameter of up to 11mm. The cable clamp with a massive metal strain relief clamp which is built into the hood guarantees the secure safe strain relief of the cable. The hoods are available in metallized versions for applications with EMV and shielding requirements or for demands regarding optically high-quality surfaces. The new D-Sub plastic hoods in black and metallized versions are made of high-quality thermoplast with UL 94-V0. They have a built-in dust cover collar and can be mated into 3TE-grids. The hoods can be bought as a complete set including knurled screws or packed separately for medium-sized or big batches.
