Polish ground freeform optics up to 1 meter in size to high precision... with one machine
The Q22-950F-PC features a 370 mm diameter wheel on a rotating axis for polishing planos, spheres and aspheres, as well as freeform optics.

Polish aperture sizes up to 900 mm x 1100 mm:
* Large, lightweighted optics with very thin face sheet;
* Extra-large telescope (ELT) segmented optics;
* Freeform optics, including off-axis aspheres;
* Improved surface integrity, e.g., for resistance to laser damage.

Key to the Q22-950F's increased performance is the availability of three different "heads".

The Pad Polisher allows for smoothing of mid-spatial frequencies (e.g. "cutter marks" or other grinding residuals). The 50mm wheel polishes parts as small as 50mm in diameter and allows for low edge exclusion. This option also allows for high spatial frequency resolution and lightweight quilting correction.
