These scanners are attached to the component running on a flexible track and are fixed to the track using a belt and quick-disconnect spanning lever. Scanner motion is controlled by a hand-held key pad and/or from the data acquisition computer. Relevant set-positions can be transferred to the data acquisition computer for further motion control by the scanning program.

A very flexible system can be configured by adding ultrasonic hardware and software, such as the PCUS 10/11 ultrasonic cards and CPS™ data acquisition and analysis software. Eddy current inspections can also be performed by adding suitable (PC-based) eddy current components.
