PULSAR™
QUANTACHROME INSTRUMENTS
The ChemBET PULSAR TPR / TPD
The PULSAR is a compact, bench-top catalyst characterization unit capable of automated TPR/TPO/TPD and pulse titration method of determining metal surface area, crystallite (nanocluster) size and dispersion.
Fully automated analysis sequences are programmed on a PC using the Pulsar's TPRWin software. Titrations (for metal area and dispersion determination) use a built-in automatic injection loop. Sample preparation is performed in-situ taking advantage of the Pulsar's automatic gas switching. Temperature programmed methods, TPR, TPD, TPO and TPSR-known collectively as TPX, use the PC controlled linear ramping of the high temperature (up to 100degC) furnace and in-situ sample thermocouple. fast sample turnaround is assured by the built-in, automatically controlled, furnace cooling fan.
The TPRWin software (included with the ChemBET Pulsar TPR/TPD) performs quantitative calculations and also includes peak deconvolution for separating overlapping TPX peaks.
