The measurement of dimensions of products within the production process or shortly thereafter is getting increasingly important. Rejection can be reduced through the inspection width, thickness, height, lenght and angle. Scrap can be eliminated on the spot without beeing further processed in the next production stages. This type of inline inspection can be used for alsmost all kinds of materials like metall, plastic, wood or other materials.
The objects who need to be measured can be placed on a conveyor belt and are measured contactless with one or several Laser Scanners inline.
Application: check of rotor profile
Rotors of windmills are beeing checked for their correct profile. Especially at the edge where the 2 halves of the rotor are glued together it is necessary to check the profile for dimensional tolerances.
Application: rim check
When checking rims for trucks, the hump area must be free of defects. Also the excentricity of a rim can be checked at the same time with a Q4 Laser.
