MotionXtra systems are rugged cameras that can withstand violent forces. The MotionXtra series, named for its ability to endure forces above 100 Gs, can survive almost any automotive safety impact test. Redlake’s MotionXtra HG series also comes equipped with an internal battery so that images are maintained with integrity in the most violent tests.

MotionXtra camera designs are also ideal for RAB applications due to their unique ability to store CIE processed image data from which upper, middle, or lower 8-bits of 10 (mono or 24-bits of 30 for color) may be chosen for viewing and storage. Extended dynamic range mappings (10- and 9-bit compressed) approximate a logarithmic response. There is also an option for creating any custom lookup table (LUT) for mapping the CIE processed 10-bit data to 8 bits for viewing, allowing the user to expand the dynamic range of the image according to his or her personal requirements.
