REPKON
An unbeatable method for the production of rotational symmetrical seamless high precision parts, flowforming is one of the hottest technologies in the metal forming industry. Typically available to the aerospace and defense sectors until recent years, Repkon Flowforming Technologies and Repkon Flowforming Machines ("RFM") series open up new avenues for applications in the industries of the future.
Designed and engineered by REPKON, the RFM series broadens flowforming applications. With the benefit of REPKON's decades-long hands-on experience in metal forming, our R&D team developed a machine that meets clients' most exacting requirements concerning productivity and return on investment.
The outstanding technical highlight of this machine is the fixed machine tool table with the radial rollers and two moving headstocks. With the use of high precision ball-screw spindles symmetrically pulling the headstocks to the robust machine tool table, an enclosed flow of forces develops. Thanks to its embedded stability, the design reduces cycle-times and ensures ultimate precision of the formed parts.
The RFM Series currently cover a diameter range between 50 mm and 700 mm and a length of the finished part between 200 mm and 15.000 mm. REPKON can also custom design and supply flow forming machines to suit customer requirements. Within these parameters, REPKON customizes every machine to the specific requirements of the customer. Below is a 3D layout of an example from the RFM series, a RFM645 machine with six rollers up to 450 mm diameter designed for the production of CNG cylinders.
