Description

The Emax is specifically designed for high energy milling. The size reduction principle is a unique combination of high friction and impact which results in ultrafine particles after very short grinding times. The speed of 2,000 rpm is unmatched in a ball mill. The high energy input is effectively used for the grinding process thanks to an innovative water-based cooling system. The oval design of the grinding jars promotes thorough mixing of the sample and thus a narrow particle size distribution. The cooling system helps to greatly accelerate the grinding process as cool down breaks - which are unavoidable when grinding samples down to the submicron range in conventional ball mills - are obsolete. The high energy input of the Emax in combination with the unique cooling system provides perfect conditions for effective mechanical alloying.
