High Performance Bucket Elevators
Bucket Elevator Types
Rexnord High-speed Centrifugal Discharge Elevators operate at high speeds and discharge material by centrifugal forces (250 fpm to 400 fpm). They handle free flowing materials up to 2" lumps, and use two types of centrifugal buckets: The AC style and the AA style buckets. (ACS buckets on retrofits.)
Rexnord Medium Speed Centrifugal Discharge Elevators (RP Elevators) operate at medium speeds and are a "combination discharge" elevator. The material not discharged by centrifugal force can leave the bucket by gravity and is deflected via the back of the preceding bucket (up to 240 fpm). The overlapping design and shape increase the fill factor and allow for both centrifugal and gravity discharge. They are able to handle 2 inch lumps mixed with free flowing fines.
Rexnord Low-Speed Gravity Discharge Elevators are a continuous type bucket elevator and operate at slow speeds with material being discharged by gravity. The buckets are more closely spaced (50 to 150 fpm). Generally, this type of elevator is used for handling materials having a large percentage of lumps, 2" to 5", fragile materials or materials which are very fluffy.
