Overview
Our Idlers consist of low friction rolls mounted in a frame or hanger brackets. Idlers are designed to support fabric or steel reinforced rubber belts for conveying bulk materials. Rexnord manufactures idlers for conveyors that are troughed or flat on the carrying side as well as conveyors that are usually flat on the return side. Troughing idlers support the transport of materials while minimizing the potential for material to fall off the conveyor belt. Our Idlers conform to CEMA standard 502. This standard defines idler load capacities, certain installation dimensions, and minimum roll bearing life and load capabilities. It does not define internal design of the rolls or frames. Our Idlers are available for belt widths in the range of 18-72 inches, they support troughed belts of 20, 35, or 45 degrees and flat belts and are available as factory sealed or field regreaseable. Rexnord offers a complete selection of application specific idlers to meet unique requirements. These include loading zone impact idlers, belt training idlers, idlers for operation in corrosive and abrasive wear environments, and return side belt cleaning idlers.
