Self-tapping screw RIBEThread-forming screws allow a significant reduction in the costs of creating screw connections by forming their own female thread on installation. They are used in metal or plastic materials.
The use of optimized forming tips, special lubricants on the surface and matching hole diameters for installation results in a joint quality practically identical to joints with tapped female threads.
„Thread forming“ means that the screws create their female thread by forming the material without cutting, which means there are no chips with a formed female thread.
RIBE offers a great variety of thread-forming screws for metals (TRIFORM, TAPTITE II and DUO-TAPTITE), sheet metals (TRIFORM DB, EXTRUDE-TITE) and plastics (Plastoform, RIBE PR).
