The Rittal Modulsafes offers optimal protection against physical threats for IT-applications. In the context of the CeBIT appearance 2011 Rittal presented the Modulsafe Extend with direct free cooling for the first time. Medium-size users can accommodate their IT not only space-saving and surely, but also save energy.

The Rittal Modulsafe Extend offers system-examined protection from fires, flue gases, fire fighting waters, dust and not least foreign access to the sensitive IT-hardware. Beside the servers and STORAGE solutions further components supplement such as system control, fire message and fire extinguishing system, bus bars etc. the Sicherheitssafe to the completely equipped compact computing center. For the air conditioning meeting demand Rittal offers different solutions. For the first time to the CeBIT 2011 the Hessian system offerer pointed also the possibility of equipping the Modulsafe Extend with the particularly energy-efficient direct free cooling with outside air to the air conditioning of the Safes is used.

As is the case for all coolers used in the Modulsafe also with the direct free cooling on the inside of the Modulsafes the horizontal air circulation and the separation between cold and warm side in the Modulsafe are protected. Here cooled air is led before the 19-Zoll-Ebene of the IT.
