Welding nuts and screws allow to create threads on pre-drilled metal sheets. They are provided with four little protrusions which, brought into contact with the welding tool, help electricity pass through and then welding to the metal sheet. Nuts create female threads and they can be hexagonal or square. Screws, on the other hand, create male threads.
