The CANsense I/O TC broadens the range of the CANsense I/O family. Up to 8 independent thermocouples of various types can be connected, resulting in one or more CAN messages containing temperature readings. Using a powerful 16-bit microcontroller, the CANsense I/O TC converts raw readings into scaled, accurate values from built-in reference tables for various thermocouple types. Even customized tables can be made. All universal thermocouple connectors are on one side of the device with an extra PT100 temperature sensor slot to measure the connector block for improved accuracy. These low-cost, rugged devices have a modular enclosure so that several can be bolted together and attached nearly anywhere, e. g. on a vehicle, or spread out and connected via a CAN bus.
