CAN network bridge CANview Ethernet
RM MICHAELIDES
CANview® Ethernet is equipped with a 10/100M Base-T Ethernet interface for rapid data transfer. CAN data can be losslessly transmitted with a baud rate of 1 Mbit/s and a high bus load via Ethernet. It is also possible to link two remote CAN networks via Ethernet. CANview® Ethernet is based on the standardized RM byte command interface, which enables simple exchange with other CAN components of the RM product family. Communication over the Internet is possible by means of suitable gateways/routers. Customizable filters can be used to limit the number of messages to be transmitted. On the Ethernet side, the device can communicate via TCP or UDP. A multiple socket server enables several TCP clients to communicate concurrently with CANview® Ethernet. CANview® Ethernet contains a DHCP client and a DNS client. Optionally, the device is available with a CANopen stack with additional NMT master and SDO client functionality, HTTP web server, FTP server, and DSP 309 implementation.
