The high brightness fiber lasers of the ROFIN FL Series are extremely efficient and have been designed for optimum reliability. They are suitable for cutting, welding, and surface treatment, as well as for a wide variety of scanner-based applications. The emitted wavelength of 1 µm achieves high absorption in many materials and is especially suitable for processing highly reflective materials.
With the multi-mode version of the FL laser, fiber optics of 50 to 800 µm can be used. The single-mode version produces exceptionally good beam quality, in the range of ≤ 0.4 mm x mrad. The excellent beam quality also allows the efficient use of scanner systems for high-speed positioning as well as the fast and precise application of small geometries at workpieces. This reduces cycle times and increases productivity. Beam switches and energy sharing modules are available as an option allowing up to four work cells to be operated with only one laser. Non-productive times are reduced and the utilization of the laser is increased.
For easy integration into existing machining concepts, the Compact Version of the fiber laser is available as an alternative system solution. The Compact Version is provided as single-mode laser with fiber optics of 20 µm or as multi-mode laser with fiber optics of 50 µm.
