3-jaw pneumatic lathe power chuck
LVE Series
RÖHM
Air-operated self-contained chucks - LVE
Type 525-00 3-jaw self-contained chucks LVE, with through-hole, max. operating pressure 10 bar, with serration
cylindrical centre mount
APPLICATION RANGE
Suitable for machining flanges and bar stock and for chucking pipes.
The actuating cylinder is incorporated in the chuck body. Thanks to the elimination of draw tube the spindle bore is free and unobstructed throughout its entire length.
Compressed air is supplied to one of the piston spaces through the immobilezed floating ring 1 and the double nonreturn valve. The force acting on the pressure piston 3 is transmitted to the base jaws 5 by the chucking piston via the proven wedge system 4. During chucking and unchucking, special seals 6 seal the floating ring 1 against the body 7.
On completion of the chucking operation, the chucking pressure is maintained by the nonreturn valve with no pressure existing in the supply lines. The seals rise by their elasticity and are not destroyed through the roating chuck body.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
self-contained
high gripping force even at 6 bar
unobstructed bore throughout spindle thanks to omission of draw tube
chucking and unchucking only while spindle is not rotating
Accessories: Chuck and jaw mounting screws, T-nuts (without top jaws)
