The Temperature Data Logger was developed for reliable collection of temperature data in underground pipelines, e.g. during pressure testing procedures. The system consists of an above-ground battery-operated temperature logging unit, a measuring probe which is fixed to the pipe, and a cable or rod connection. Initialization of the units and data selection by means of a mobile Personal Digital Assistant (PDA); from the PDA, the data is transferred to a PC for processing with the relevant software.
