Wireless access control door interface Rosslare Security ProductsThe MD-W11 is an easy to install, cost-effective solution that enables traditional access control panels to connect wirelessly, and to communicate with remote door devices. With an indoor range of up to 230ft (70 meters), the MD-W11 reduces cabling, which decreases installation time and effort. This compact solution consists of two units per door: the Near unit is connected to the controller, while the Far unit (located on the door) is connected to the readers, proximity cards, locks, and Rex buttons. The coupled units transmit bi-directional, encrypted RF data communication consisting of Wiegand 26 bits of proximity card information, LED control, reader tamper, and lock relay commands, which include REX and door monitor events.
Providing the highest level of security, the MD-W11 supplies power backup and full supervision, as well as data protection, to ensure reliability and transmission safety. The Near unit is connected to the controller’s power supply, while the Far unit is powered by a local wall transformer, with a built-in charger in case of power loss. The Near unit fully supervises the Far unit and its event signals, including supervision failure, tamper, low battery, and power failure. The Near unit then reports these events to the controller. RF Communication is protected with fast, proprietary, anti-collision rolling code protocol.
