The body of the flowswitch is a standard pipe tee, BSP threaded, which contains a paddle type vane. Flow pushes the vane against magnetic forces: when flow exceeds a critical value the magnet actuates a reed switch. By coarse adjustment of the reed switch position, the output is changed between N0 & NC contacts: fine adjustment changes the flow sensitivity and switch rate.
