Laboratory robotic workstation: DNA isolation
RTS Flexible Systems
The world’s first automated blood fractionation system was supplied by RTS in 2007 and the technology used to automatically isolate buffy coat from whole blood now exists in the form of the RTS ABF.
Blood fractionation, and the ability to store the resultant fractions, provides the optimum opportunity to undertake future medical, lifestyle and disease analyses. To date blood fractionation has been a time consuming, laborious and potentially hazardous task which, to get high quality, consistent results, requires well trained and motivated staff. RTS’ ABF automates the processing of centrifuged whole blood samples by separating plasma, buffy coat and red blood cells.
