The increase in the number of equipment sensitive to the variations of tension determined a constant request for instruments which can guarantee the supply of tension stable and independent of the variations of the distribution network.
The voltage regulator is a motorized auto-transformer with constant variable ratio. During the variation of the position of the contacts, the portion of taken tension varies; the same applies to the power provided to the primary education of the transformer. The tension present between the contacts and, consequently, that which is present on the secondary of the transformer booster rocket, is in phase or opposition of phase compared to the tension of sector; it is added or resulted consequently with the latter of which it compensates for the variations.
From 0,2 to 2000 kcVa single-phase currents or three-phase with dissymmetry of the interlinked voltages.
