As one of the world's largest manufacturers of gear cutting tools, our hob manufacturing programme features a wide range of hobs for the gear manufacturing industry, including bore and shank-type hobs; multi-gash and multi-start hobs; special profile hobs or hobs with profile modifications; hobs for sprockets; hobs for splines and timing belt gears as well as hobs for band saw blades.

Depending on your application, we optimise the geometry of your tool in terms of diameter, number of gashes and number of starts in the following ranges:

Module range 0.75 - 7.0 mm
Diameter 30 - 200 mm

Materials: high-alloy HSS-PM steels, including carbides for wet and dry machining processes
Special profile hobs and hobs with profile modifications: Tooth tip chamfer, protuberance, topping, full radius, tip relief, root relief and other modifications.

Our X-press delivery programme comprises X2® and X4® hobs to help you bridge gaps in production or meet your prototype production requirements. By keeping hob blanks in stock, we are able to get delivery times down to just two or four weeks (10 or 20 working days). Choose from our range using the table below. Other sizes are available on request.
