Case Description
Wear resistance or tooling lifetime were always the key issues to make high volume and high quality ball bearings.

Tooling lifetime is increasing and the accuracy of ball bearings is also secured by applying carbide tooling. By studying customer processes, Sandvik supplied the right grade for each individual application, like cermet grade for inner and outer ring cutting, cemented carbide grade for wear component, etc.
