If you are feeding wide material, the best way to convey the more delicate material would be to hold the material at the edges, to prevent scratching or marring the surface. The Variax VGT Series does just that. It demonstates a bold new way to handle wide material.

The Variax VGT Series consists of two variable, cam-driven gripper feeds arranged to hold wide material at the edges firmly, yet gently, while advancing it in perfect synchronization. The gripper feeds are based on Sankyo's industry-standard VG feeds. The ability to individually adjust feed pitch, material thickness and grip force differentiates the new VGT from conventional roll feeds. These innovations ensure straight material delivery and precise squareness to the die. The SCT drive system allows width adjustment of the feeds without readjusting belt tension.
