The SANDEX TAF series was developed to precisely uncouple torque between shaft and flange mountings. It uses the reliable mechanical detent ball and pocket system to reset every revolution within ±15 arcsec accuracy. With the aid of air pressure, the tripping torque can be easily adjusted. Air is routed through the hollow mounting shaft and into the bore of the torque limiter hub. A tolerance flange will ensure concentric mounting for indexing dials or hub-less sprockets. Overload conditions can be detected by mounting a sensor on the actuating trip ring (largest diameter as shown).
