The DST/DSS is a cam driven independent rotating tombstone developed to see "If it is possible to machine finished products with only one initial setup". The output rotation is indexed 90 degrees for each turn of the input rotating disk. This initial setup enables five different surfaces to be machined when mounted on a horizontal machining center. In addition, since the DST does not require an independent input drive source, signal wires and control cables are not necessary.
