With powder metallurgy (PM) parts makers looking for every opportunity to boost productivity, batch furnaces for steam treating components are increasingly being replaced with units offering continuous operation.
Generally these units are similar in principle to the batch furnaces they replace, but now a German company, Sarnes ingenieure of Ostfildern, has introduced a new concept, the 'Contiblu' process.
