Principle of Operation
The refractive index is determined with high resolution using a CCD detector and the concentration is calculated using the installed scales. This principle of operation is based on the measurement of the reflection of light, so that the concentration of a substance can be easily determined, both in colored and dark solutions and even with particles in a process stream. The prism-embedded temperature sensor (PES) is positioned directly at the process stream and point of measurement, providing optimal temperature compensation and extremely accurate measurement. A prism with a very high degree of hardness ensures process robustness, as well as Clean-In-Place practice and pipe cleaning with process pigs. The stainless steel housing has an IP65 protection class and allows for the process environment to be thoroughly cleaned.
