Dry-block temperature calibrator
-50 - 1100 °C | BL series
SCANDURA & FEM
Dry Blocks for the temperature ranges below:
BL-0 -30* + 125 °C
BL-3 ambient + 300 °C
BL-7 ambient + 700 °C
* Ambient T = 20 °C
In fact BL series has been designed to make easy all possible Temperature Calibration Procedures to any operator, in all types of Industries.
Specific for Field Calibration of a variety of Temperature Devices, such as T/C, RTD, Thermometers, Temperature Recorders, Indicators and Switches, BL series may successfully be used in Laboratories and Workshops either for Instruments Calibration or Testing/ Commissioning purposes.
As most demanding International Standards require, BL series allows to carry out the Calibration Procedures by using the Comparison Method.
This method implies that both the Temperature Device under test and the Reference Temperature Sensor are exposed to the same temperature.
To calculate the error of the Device under test, each measurement, relevant to each calibration point, must be compared with the corresponding measurement taken from a Reference Sensor.
BL Series Dry Blocks does not use the Reference Sensor as sensing element of the Temperature PID Controller. It uses, instead, a standard commercial type of RTD or, depending the models, a thermocouple.
This ensures a much longer life to the highly expensive Reference Sensor and improves the reliability and availability of both the Reference Sensor and the Dry Block.
That is why it is meaningless to provide any accuracy figure to BL series. More correctly the accuracy to be considered is that of the chain that include the Reference Sensor and Temperature Calibrator.
