Successful further development of an innovative idea: The new self-closing device with integrated damper for Schock full extension slides allows up to 70% more load capacity than the prior type.

"Soft Control 2" pulls in the telescopic slide for the last 50 mm providing a gentle braking action at the same time. The damping system is applied under the slide profile. This allows to retrofit the damper as an additional feature. The main advantage, however is the increased load capacity of the telescopic slides: "Soft Control 2" allows up to 70% higher load ratings for short slide lengths. This comprises above all applications with short installation depth but high load requirements such as used in kitchen furniture or office cabinets. The installation width of the slide profiles does not change. Therefore, for the most part existing systems can be upgraded to "Soft Control 2" without any design modification.
