The simple way for printing labels
Seiko Instruments USA Inc. product portfolio is currently made up of two different label printer models: 440 and 450, in addition to printers for customer-specific applications.
The user-friendly Smart Label Printers enable users to combine text, graphics and barcodes on a single label, thus making it possible to create individual label layouts for a multitude of applications.
The Smart Label software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP, Vista as well as Mac OS X10.2 or higher and we have a driver for Linux as well. The printers are connected to the host computer either by USB or serial interface.
Their print quality is identical; they differ solely in print speed and voltage. The 450 is able to print with only 1-2 seconds/label and has a 12 Volt power supply. The 440 requires 3-4 seconds to print a label and has a 6 Volt power supply. Both have 300 dpi print resolution and max label width of 58mm.
Apart from the actual labels themselves, the label printers do not incur any additional printing costs because they are thermo-direct printers.”
