Description

S117P1 is a 3-in-1 multifunction optoisolated instrument: serial converter, signal isolator, and programming kit. It is able to realize an asynchronous conversion of RS232/RS485/TTL type using a USB port on the PC. The interface is detected by the operating system as a standard serial port, allowing the product to be used directly through any software able to communicate with standard ports (COM1, COM2, etc.). This portable device is designed with a wide operating temperature range and an optoisolated circuit to avoid most of the problems of electrical noise between the serial and the USB port of the PC; the best feature when the connected equipment is far away from your workstation. Particularly robust and reliable, S117P1 also offers the possibility to power a SENECA or other manufacturer's module with a 12V@100mA output power on terminals. The device is compatible with Windows®, Windows Server®, Windows CE®, Linux, Mac OS X® (*).
