Pressure controller
Sensor Systems
The Gauged Pressure Relay-Recorder contains no mercury products, and is safe for the most demanding environments. The controller is designed to meet a variety of applications requiring simultaneous pressure monitoring, recording and relaying functions. The package is comprised of two components, the Gauge Transducer and Relay-Recorder. The Gauge Transducer utilizes highly reliable Bourdon Tube technology and features a highly accuracy conductive plastic potentiometric sensor. The separately mounted Relay-Recorder combines an electrically driven chart recorder with a solid state control circuit.
The control circuit conditions the signal from the Gauge Transducer to simultaneously drive the chart recorder and provide a signal to the relay control circuit. The control circuit provides two sets of user adjustable non-interactive calibrated dials for establishing the overpressure (set) and underpressure (reset) switch functions. The set points have an adjustable deadband that can be set as close as 2 psi up to 100% of the transducer range. The switch also has a visible on/off indication in the form of a bi-colored LED.
The set points can be easily adjusted without removing power or shutting down the process. The switch function is performed by a standard electromechanical relay with DPDT contacts so that both a control function and alarm function can be performed simultaneously. The combination of these features affords an economical and reliable means of establishing pressure limits while recording existing conditions and providing a gauged pressure indication at the same time.
