RCCN's electric tape range includes the 3M-1500 and 3M-1600 products. 3M provides a lead-free electrical insulating tape which provides exceptional results. The practical and economical PVC insulation tape offers good resistance to moisture, abrasion, acid and alkalis, as well as to changes in the environment (including UV). The PVC tape has high dielectric strength and provides good mechanical protection. 3M-1500 and 3M-1600 are suitable for use both indoors and outdoors and are utilized for taping wires and cables of 600V as the main insulation. The tape is used to repair high-voltage cable joint sheaths for electrical wires and cables of 600V and under. For each use the appropriate color should be used. When using the tape, the overlapping winding must be done uniformly and tidily, with sufficient force to ensure a tight seal. In order to prevent the wire break through while making connections, the tape must be wrapped around the trailing end of the wire then turned back to leave a pad.
