The vector-controlled frequency converter FC72 is a low-cost drive solution and conceived for machine tools used for complex tasks such as positioning, hard threading and tool changing within the power range of 8 – 170 kVA. Due to the sinusoidal currents, losses of the motor are minimized and thus, the maximum lifetime of the spindle is prolonged. A special control method guarantees an operation with output frequencies up to 2,500 Hz without power restrictions (De-rating).
