Description
The gear units are located at the end of the bucket wheel excavator boom, level with the hub, and must therefore be as light as possible. This requirement is optimally met by load-sharing planetary gear units. FLENDER planetary gear units have an ultra-compact design and consequently weigh extremely little.

Standard planetary gear units (type P2LA, P2KA, or P3KA) can normally be used in the low torque range from 100,000 Nm to 350,000 Nm.
In the high torque range from approx. 400,000 Nm to 2,600,000 Nm, standard PBUC type planetary gear units are ideal (higher torques available on request).
Transmission ratios from 112 to 450
