Compared to conventional configurations in switchgear and control cubicles, this technique allows important cost savings and offers the following advantages: mechanical fixing and electrical contacting are achieved in one action, input wiring is dispensed with, the use of busbar terminals is reduced to a minimum, and double utilization of the busbar space is provided. All this is especially effective in cases where many feeders with the same power range are required.

During operation, an easily traceable arrangement as well as rapid and uncomplicated replacement of single devices and assemblies are the most tangible benefits. The busbar adapter system is completely finger-safe because it is covered by adapters and switching device holders. High operational safety is therefore guaranteed.

Busbar cross-sections:
- 12 mm x 5 mm, 12 mm x 10 mm
- 15 mm x 5 mm, 15 x 10mm

The following busbar device adapters are available for this system:
- SIRIUS
- SENTRON 3VL

For use in machinery and plant building, motor control centers, and power distribution systems up to 400 A:
- For motor starters up to 63 A
- For 3VL circuit breakers up to 160 A
- For 3NP fuse switch disconnectors up to 250 A
