Description

The MUT 4531A electronic temperature transmitter is used to convert the sensor signal into a standardized current or voltage signal. The job of the transmitter is to ensure that all values that are measured by resistance thermometers, thermocouples and other physical sensors having small output signals get transmitted and displayed without being distorted. Sometimes undesired distortion is caused by the connecting cable and is caused by parasitic thermoelectric voltages, electromagnetic interference, ohmic resistance of the supply line etc. The transmitter is powered via the loop current or an external power supply unit. Interference susceptibility is reduced due to amplification and this reduces the length of the cable irrespective of signal currents.
