The Si500 is a silicon oscillator that provides comparable performance to crystal oscillators. Through the use of innovative stabilization circuitry, the need to use a mechanical resonator (quartz, MEMs or SAW) is eliminated. This technology uses a standard CMOS IC manufacturing flow to enable short lead times for any frequency oscillator between 0.9 MHz and 200 MHz. This simplified process flow also enables very cost effective solutions, especially for applications that require higher frequencies and differential formats (LVPECL, LVDS and HCSL). The Si500 provides excellent jitter performance and is ideally suited for high volume applications.
