New portable induction heater simatherm IH 025 VOLCANO
The IH 025 VOLCANO, which was successfully launched in June 2011, is the perfect addition to the simatherm range of induction heaters. The simatherm IH 025 VOLCANO marks the start of a new era in the field of portable induction heaters. The patented technology employed enables outstanding heating performance from an extremely light structure weighing just 3.5 kg (7.7 lb). It can be used to heat roller bearings with internal diameters of over 20 mm, external diameters starting at 160 mm and a weight of up to 10 kg (22lb).
The IH 025 VOLCANO operates in the high-frequency range, making it extremely efficient. It can reach a maximum heating temperature of up to 180°C (356°F), and also offers integrated time and temperature regulation.
The IH 025 VOLCANO also offers a unique product benefit with PTC (Predictive Temperature Control). This function ensures that the workpiece is heated evenly and the preselected temperature is achieved precisely and quickly, with no risk of overheating.
In addition to roller bearings, the simatherm IH 025 VOLCANO is also suitable for heating other circular ferritic metal components such as gear wheels, pulleys, bushings, flanges, bearing rings, pinions and shrink rings. The device is available in three voltages: 230 V/50/60 Hz, 115 V/50/60 Hz and 100 V/50/60 Hz. The VOLCANO is extremely easy to operate: insert the mains plug (230 V), connect the temperature probe to the inner ring of the workpiece and begin heating.
