The 2, 3, 5 spindles FCN horizontal deep holes drilling machines are designed and built by Sirmu
to carry out precision deep holes on tube plates for petrochemical and nuclear industry using the BTA (STS) and GUN DRILL drilling system.
The machines are characterised by a structure able to guarantee accurate performances and accuracies, designed and checked through results deriving from FEM structural calculation elaborated with Computer Aided Engineering. The Ansys CAE software is used with the 3D CAD to simulate the behaviour of mechanical bodies under thermal/structural loading conditions, whose aim is to verify the structural behaviour of the drilling machines under the action of workloads. Suitable for long-lasting machining, with excellent thermal, static and dynamic stability, they are also equipped with a user-friendly interface and a wear and tool brake survey, reducing to the minimum potential damages to tools, toolings, pieces in machining and to the machines themselves due to anomalous drilling conditions.
