Suction filters are designed as folded radial filters. If suction filters are used, the filters must be cleaned and/or replaced at intervals of max. 500 operating hours.
Simple suction strainers made from wire fabric are often used on the suction line. The folded radial elements have a mesh size of between 50 and 200µm. The effective viscosity of the oil should not exceed 200 mm²/s in suction filtration.
