SMACWRAP® SMAC

SMACWRAP® is an innovative solution developed to address the new requirements coming from the composite manufacturing.

This smart solution allows introduction of damping material DURING the composite manufacturing, thus saving weight, space, energy while insuring very high damping (then acoustic) performances.

SMACWRAP® material consists in a very thin ribbon (between 0.1 to 0.2 mm thick) of viscoelastic rubber dedicated to an easy utilization by a fibre placement machine during composite manufacture.

Even a very small use of SMACWRAP® viscoelastic material is able to bring a high amount of damping on composite structure when it is located strategically IN the composite structure's core.

SMACWRAP® can optimize noise and vibration damping at the source on a smart way without any need of add-on damping products, then saving time, costs, weight and carbon footprint.
